We’ve driven Daytona, Sebring, the FIRM, Road Atlanta, and even UMC out in Utah before a cross-country trip back home. Overall, we’ve driven 50 solo events across 4 regions, and over a dozen HPDE’s! I joined the community after meeting some awesome people, and decided I wanted in on the fun

Why you love your car/community: I have always enjoyed the sense of community that my car has brought me. I’m a part of the Houston, San Antonio and Dallas/ Fort Worth scenes mostly as there isn’t much for me around home. The family-like relationships that I’ve founded with several amazing people are those that I will not forget anytime soon. For those who are unfamiliar, this is called Itasha (痛車) and it translates from Japanese to English as “Cringeworthy car” or “Headache car,” deriving from a slang term referring to Italian automobiles when they were being imported to Japan in the 1980s. Itasha is the ultimate cultural symbol of pulling for your favorite anime or video game characters — meaning that you resonate with them in some way. I chose Yor Forger from SPY x FAMILY because of her daily struggles with anxieties, and her ability to put her family first despite her reservations. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but my vision was to create something one of a kind. It certainly gets attention, but also brings some of the best of haters to the forefront. It’s my car, what are you going to do about it?
